RELEASED JUly 17, 2026.
“If there is one thing you can always count on with Alex Lahey, it’s that the Melbourne-born indie singer-songwriter is going to provide fans with a hell of a good time.” – Billboard
Impressed Recordings is proud to present a world exclusive variant of Alex Lahey's original EP, 'B-Grade University'. In addition to the original EP, this repress includes brand new re-recordings of “You Don’t Think You Like People Like Me” and “Let’s Go Out,” alternate versions of “Wes Anderson” and “Let’s Go Out” taken from Lahey’s 2020 Between the Kitchen and the Living Room EP, plus a version of “You Don’t Think You Like People Like Me” recorded in 2017 live in-studio at triple j in Australia for their Like A Version series.
"I vividly remember writing this collection of songs in my childhood bedroom at my mum’s house next to a small window where I could catch glimpses of the ever expanding edges of the Melbourne city landscape in the years I lived there. I sold my trusty blue Toyota Corolla (aka the Corolls Royce) and gathered every single dollar I could from random day jobs to pay for studio time and will the project into existence."
"I am not exaggerating when I say this EP completely changed my life. These songs found their place in the world in a way I could have never fathomed and have forged a life of their own over the last decade. They’ve taken me to corners of the world I could only have dreamed of seeing, let alone playing music in, given me the privilege of meeting so many people who have found their own stories in the songs and they have enabled me to keep making the next thing. I feel indebted to all of these songs and treat them with extra care and love whenever I play them live."

A decade on from their ARIA-nominated debut album, The Preatures return with a triumphant live recording from their recent Blue Planet Eyes 10th Anniversary Tour — an euphoric performance captured at Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre back in August 2025. It was an unforgettable night that stood out among an already exceptional run of shows where over 10,000 adoring fans around the country sung along with every word.
Blue Planet Eyes... Live! celebrates the group’s singular mix of swaggering pop and rock-and-roll energy, capturing the long-awaited reunion of the original line-up, reigniting one of Australia’s most beloved modern rock acts. With this record, The Preatures reassert their place as a defining band of the 2010s, blending nostalgia with renewed energy, and delivering a live record that brims with chemistry, charisma and soul. The recording showcases why The Preatures have built their reputation as one of Australia's most electrifying live acts, with the raw energy and connection between band and audience preserved in stunning detail. Mixed by guitarist Jack Moffitt, you can feel the palpable, electric energy of global hit, ‘Is This How You Feel’, the smoky, visceral and pulsating beat of ‘Rock And Roll Rave’ and the fever of fan-favourites like ‘Somebody’s Talking’, ‘Better Than It Ever Could Be’ and ‘Cruel’, as well as a stunning cover of Prince's 'When You Were Mine’.
The Preatures’ Isabella Manfredi says of the album "A few shows into the tour we realised just how special this moment was. We ended up recording almost all the shows on the tour, but Melbourne really stood out as a hero performance. It was a sensational crowd, almost supernatural in feeling, and we wanted the essence of that audience to live on through the record forever."
Impressed is pressing a limited-edition vinyl of Blue Planet Eyes... Live! in "Negroni Glass". (One LP in translucent red, and one LP in coke bottle clear). This is limited to just 300 copies with our signature numbered obi strip, on a gatefold jacket.
All of the orders will receive a 'ticket' from the tour signed by the band.
The record is released on December 12th 2025 and will also be available to stream.
